Zebra Mask (Ghana)
Sold Out
The Zebra mask was created by the Dagaaba people in the north of Ghana. The half-closed eyes of the mask stand for calmness and patience. The long forehead represents wisdom.
I have 3 different masks on the wall of my apartment, but this painted wood mask is one of my favorites. It stands out with its bold white & black stripes. The red half-closed eyes, mouth and the red tassels and glass Krobo beads on the sides give the mask an overall unique look.
